Customer display
Display-It, out front
Turn on Show On Customer Display and a bumped order's name appears on the screen your customers can see. Your own images in the rotation.
It shows what's ready — not a countdown you'd have to defend.
A screen only shows what that station cooks.
A filter decides what reaches a screen and how it behaves there. Seven tabs, set once per station, changed whenever the menu does.
The main tab. Docket count, whether to group by category or course, three separate font sizes, and the Bump All button — set once for this station.
Three time thresholds drive the traffic-light timer: a first alert, a second, and a separate one for held dockets. Coffee runs 2 and 4 minutes; the kitchen runs 8 and 15.
Show On Customer Display puts the order's name on a customer-facing screen once it's bumped — a handover cue, not a countdown.
A pre-order delay in minutes, plus an extra per-docket delay in seconds, so online orders surface when the kitchen can actually start them.

Leave every register showing, or tick to narrow this screen to just the tills that feed the station.

Leave them untouched and everything shows. Tick to narrow it — one screen for drive-thru, another for dine in.
From support
The single most common reason an order doesn't appear on a screen is a product that was never ticked under Filters. It's the first thing we check, and it takes about ten seconds to fix.

Tap it, swipe it, or clear the item outright
Bumped items strike through; press again and they come back. Turn on the Bump All button and a tick sits beside each product — one tap clears every unit of it, so five flat whites go in one motion instead of five.

Park a table without losing it
A held docket shows its note in blue with a hold count in front of it, so you can see it's been parked twice. Unhold and it returns to position one with the timer back to green.

Make four espressos at once, not two and two
Combining merges quantities across dockets — two and two becomes 4× Espresso on one card. Undo separates them again; Exit backs out without touching anything.

Bring back an order that went early
Open it in Order History and press Unbump. It's a permission, not a free-for-all — only screens you've given Can Undo to can do it.

Past, current and upcoming — with a re-print
Order title, register, when it was bumped, and a re-print against each one. Nobody walks back to the point of sale, and nothing lives on a spike.
Each screen gets its own rules.
A device is added on the device itself — walk up to the tablet and add it there, so you can't accidentally register the office laptop. Then decide what that station is allowed to do.
Can Bump is on by default. Everything else is a deliberate choice, which is how you stop a junior unbumping half a service.

Switch from the screen itself. Colour-blind mode moves the bump buttons from green to blue.

Set a pre-order delay in minutes, plus an extra delay per docket so twenty online orders don't land at once.

A red banner if the server drops, green when it's back. Dockets already on screen stay put — you keep cooking.

Straight up
Your point of sale is the single source of truth, so dockets can't be edited on the screen. Full coursing for high-end dining isn't there yet either — called-away notifications and moving dockets are. We'd rather you knew now than found out in week two.
